Bio:

A native of Dundee who first signed for 2nd Division Montrose in 1982 from Timex Amateurs after only eight league appearance he signed for Downfield Juniors.. In October 1985 he again was playing 2nd Division football signing for St Johnstone. It wasn’t until a swap deal took him to Brechin City in 1986 where he finally shown. Jim McLean signed him for Dundee United in 1989 where he played in 6 of the last 7 league games. He signed for Partick Thistle for £30,000 in late September 1989 playing 8 game and scoring 2 goals, but although a talented midfielder he had left for Forfar Athletic ten weeks later for a similar transfer fee, he remained at Station Park for two and a half years before joining near neighbours Arbroath where he played until 1994 before going junior with Dundee St Josephs.

He is the father of Scotland International midfielder Charlie (Rangers, St Mirren, Ross County, Blackpool, Liverpool, Stoke City) and goalkeeper Grant (Rangers, Scotland U16, Airdrie).
