Bio:
Billy a Scottish cup winner with his previous club St Mirren who he had served for over 10 years playing over 300 1st team games at St Mirren park before joining Partick Thistle as player coach on a free transfer.. He once picked up three red cards after a altercation with former Partick Thistle reserve Stevie Kirk of Motherwell.The tough tackling midfielder was sent off on his Thistle debut for a bad tackle on former Thistle youth team player Gordon Wylde of Kilmarnock at Firhill..He received a free transfer at his own request and joined premier league Dunfermline Athletic he subsequently had short spells at Cowdenbeath, East Stirlingshire & highland league Inverness Thistle. He was inducted to the St Mirren hall of fame in 2007.

His nephew Mark played in the 1990’s for Airdrieonians, Kitchee (Hong-Kong), East Stirlingshire, East Fife and Petershill.
