The funeral took place in Ayrshire yesterday of former Partick Thistle, Brentford, Middlesbrough, and Oldham Athletic forward Peter McKennan, who died at the weekend. He was 73. Known as ''Ma Ba'' McKennan, Peter was a Firhill favourite in the 30s and 40s. He was capped by the Scottish League against both the English and Irish leagues in 1938-39. He had lived in Dundonald in recent years and the funeral took place at Dankieth Cemetery
