Death of 'Golden' Miller
Another of Scotland's great personality footballers of the past, Willie Miller, died on Monday at his home in Braemar Drive, Falkirk.
Willie, who was nicknamed "Golden Miller" after the famous racehorse, gave great service to clubs like Everton, Partick Thistle and Falkirk in the 1930s and 1940s
A silky inside-forward, he played for the Scottish League against the English League in 1935 and also toured America with Scotland.
Local fans will remember him for his fantastic ball jugglery at Brockville when he wore Falkirk's colours just after the Second World War.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth and daughter May.
