Bio:
Collier's early career seen him turn out for Upton Colliery, Frickley Colliery, Mansfield Town (1938-39) and York City. At the outbreak of war Collier joined up as a Physical training Instructor and served in the Highland Light Infintry. Firhill was his first stop during the war in 1940. The following year Celtic was reproached by the SFA for poaching him in 1941 where he made 3 appearances. During 41-42 and 42-43 he turned out for various teams including Third Lanark, Motherwell and East Fife. He returned to Firhill in 1942-43 making 19 appearances the following season he turned out for Aberdeen before oone last stop at Firhill in April 1944 making 2 appearances in the Southern League Cup. He was a spell at Hibernian in January 1944. After was he signed for QOS for 1946-47 before returning to England with spells at Rochdale and Halifax Town in the Football league division 3 north untill spells with Goole Town in the Yorkshire league and Scarbrough in the Midland League in 1948.
