Forward. A Parkhead junior who made his league debut for Partick Thistle in a 7-1 defeat to Queen’s Park in February 1927. After this he returned junior for the remainder of the season, it is thought he may have played for Ashfield. He returned to Firhill for the following season and he claimed his first goal in a 2-1 victory over Dunfermline Athletic in September. In December 1929 he helped the Jags win the prestigious Glasgow Dental Cup at Hampden. The following season he was back at Hampden with the Jags playing in the Scottish Cup Final both teams failed to find the net and four days later at Celtic Park he was on the losing side as the Jags lost 2-1 to Rangers. During his time at Firhill he had filled many different positions one of the first true utility players. He left Thistle on a free transfer for Bradford Park Avenue in May 1933 but by 1936 he had returned to Scotland and was staring for Nairn County in the Highland League.
