BEATON, Hugh 
A forward who managed 14 goals in 48 appearances for the Jags. He debued for Thistle in October 1880 against Rangers in Kinning Park, in over 5 years service with Thistle his most notable moment came when he took part in Thistle’s first fixture outside Scotland, a 4-4 draw with Blackburn Olympic in November 1881.
