born. 21.03.1976, Irvine, Ayrshire

Young forward. Signed for Partick Thistle in the summer of 1995 after his release from Kilmarnock where he had came through the Rugby Park youth set-up. He was farmed out to Kilwinning Rangers although he continued to play for the Firhill reserves, where his impressive performances convinced Murdo MacLeod to had him his first team debut before Christmas 1995 at his old stomping ground of Kilmarnock in a 2-1 defeat. Season 1996-97 brought 1st division football to Firhill and Charlie was expected to shine, a return of 8 goals in 30 league appearances, didn’t do him justice. He left Firhill in December 1997 for the nomads of Clydebank where he helped them win the 2nd Division. He remained in the 2nd Divison with a switch to Queen of the South in July 1998 he subsujecntly played 57 league games for the Doonhammers scoring 8 goals. He returned to Kilwinning Rangers in 2000, where he was capped for Scotland Junior’s vs. the Isle of Man in Dublin scoring once along with Paul McGrillen in a 2-2 draw. In 2005 he signed for Irvine Meadow.

In January 1997 he hit the headlines when in January 1997 he was named at one of the fifty most eligible bachelors In Britain by a women’s magazine.
