Outside-Left. An amateur who arrived at Firhill with six games left of season 1909-10; He had started his career at Port Juniors before moving to Hamilton Academicals and Queen’s Park. In 1905 he returned to Accies, in April 1909 he had a loan spell at Celtic scoring 2 goals in 1 game, the following year he moved to Thistle where he marked his debut with a goal against former side Celtic in a 3-1 defeat in Parkhead. In October 1910 he qualified as a Doctor and moved to the north of England where he continued to play football. Tragically he died aged 29, drowning in an accident off the west coast of Africa.
