This midfielder played over 60 1st team fixtures for Thistle. His debut came in December 1905 at Hampden Park in a fine 2-1 victory. In January 1907 he was suspended for 1 week, by the SFA committee for swearing at a referee. His last appearance came against Port Glasgow Athletic in March 1908. He was made open to transfer and later joined Ayr United. He was accidentally killed while handling a bomb when training for service.
