CALLAGHAN, Thomas

Inside Forward who started his football career in the Birmingham league with Halesowen before moving into the football league with Division 2 Glossop in 1904 where he made 73 appearances. He moved to Manchester City in 1906 but failed to make a impact in the City first XI. Thomas then moved north to Partick Thistle signing in 1909, where with the Jags he was a first team regular, he spent a short spell at St Mirren in 1911 before returning to the Jags. He was placed on Thistle’s open to transfer list in 1913.

He signed up forjoined the Army in 1916 he was killed in action near Ypres on 20 February 1917 and is buried in a war grave at Chester Farm Cemetery, Ypres.
