BERTRAN, George Ttoirs Geddes

He first played for Govan Avondale, before spells in the Juniors with Petershill and Dreghorn. He moved senior in 1927 signing for Airdrieonians where he played his best football, playing in over 120 first team games before a broken leg stopped his career. He made his comebavk for Airdire in November 1932 but he requested his released from the Broomfield club at the end of the season. He had a spell in the Football league with Birmingham City in August 1933 heading for Firhill the experienced forward made his only Thistle appearance in a 3-0 defeat to St Johnstone in September 1933. On leaving Firhill, he had spells at Brechin City, Queen of the South and King’s Park.
