ALLAN, William
born. 1899
Forward. A product of Kilsyth Emmet who starred for Kirkintilloch Rob Roy in the juniors before moving to Queen’s Park and Port Glasgow Athletic. He signed for Partick Thistle from the Inverclyde side in 1910. He managed 5 goals in 27 games, the highlight being a Glasgow Cup Final While at Celtic Park in front of a crowd of 58,000 in 1911 that the Jags were unlucky to lose 1-0 to Rangers. The following season he moved to Ayr United before a spell at Clydebank.
